Python programming

Python is an interpreted, object-oriented, high-level programming language with dynamic semantics. Its high-level built in data structures, combined with dynamic typing and dynamic binding, make it very attractive for Rapid Application evelopment, as well as for use as a scripting or glue language to connect existing components together. Python's simple, easy to learn syntax emphasizes readability and therefore reduces the cost of program maintenance. Python supports modules and packages, which encourages program modularity and code reuse. The Python interpreter and the extensive standard library are available in source or binary form without charge for all major platforms, and can be freely distributed.

Topics covered :

  • Introduction to python
  • Writing Simple Programs.
  • Types and Operations in python

Tech-athlon

Round 1: EATO One of the participant from a team can participate in this first round. He/She will be given a stack of biscuits and a simple question to solve. The participant have to solve the simple question in the given time limit and also have to finish his stack of biscuits.

Round 2: DEADO This is a rapid fire question round in which a single non-repeated participant from a team can participate. They will be playing with a streak of 10 simple questions but with a steep timestamp of only 5 seconds per question. The beauty here is that the participants should not answer for the question thrown at them and accordingly they have to tell the answer of the previous question and this pattern goes on. The answer for the last question should be answered at last.

Round 3: CYCO This is a fun filled round which includes a bicycle as an active participant. A team member will be sitting on a chair with the problem statement in his hands and another of his teammate will be cycling around him in a circle. The person who is sitting should not solve the question and the person who is cycling around only can answer the question. The idle person with the question has to convey the question to the person cycling. They have to complete the task within a given timestamp.

Rules:

  • The size of the team must be strictly two.
  • The first two rounds should see different participants and not the same.
  • Mobiles, any electronic gadgets, are strictly prohibited.
  • Judges decision will be final.
